About Northern
Northern was founded in 2005, in Oslo, Norway. In the beginning the brand established itself as a small, dynamic company specializing in the design and manufacturing of lights. In 2018, however, the brand changed its name from "Northern Lighting" to "Northern" and expanded its product range to household accessories and furniture rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition. Northern creates design pieces for various interiors inspired by the unique Nordic nature, culture and society.
Throughout it's history, Northern has worked with numerous great designers from all around the world to bring their designs to life. Some notable mentions include Antoine Rouzeau , the creator of the Dahl pendant Birger Dahl, the iconic sister duo from Studio Terhedebrügge, product and interior designer Felix Isidorsson among many other great minds.
