Ichiro Iwasaki
Ichiro Iwasaki is a Japanese designer known for his refined, human-centred approach to product and lighting design. Based in Tokyo, his practice focuses on creating objects that bring comfort, clarity and emotional balance to everyday environments. His work is characterised by soft geometries, subtle detailing and a strong sensitivity to how light and objects interact with space.
After gaining experience in leading design studios in Japan and Italy, Iwasaki founded his own studio in 1995. Since then, he has collaborated with major international brands, developing designs that prioritise usability, accessibility and timeless simplicity. His lighting work, in particular, reflects a calm and considered aesthetic, where function and emotion are carefully balanced to enhance contemporary living spaces with quiet elegance.
