ESCAPE, THE ASSURED LIGHT

Escape is an avant-garde pendant with a smart domino-like structure. Its self-supporting veneer panels give the impression of falling into a ring of light, their form defying gravity.

Designed by Ray Power, Escape is a truly handsome, self-assured light. While enjoying a little bit of swagger and appearing fairly pleased with itself, the Escape pendant’s manner is bright and buoyant. Moreover, Escape is entirely affable, having an approachable quality that is perfect for any well turned out setting.

Meet the designer

Ray Power

Irish designer Ray Power has been a key collaborator with LZF Lamps since 1998, known for his innovative and sculptural approach to lighting design. Power has crafted some of LZF’s most iconic lights, including the award-winning Air (2008), Link (2007), and New Wave (2015) lamps, which received prestigious accolades such as the Red Dot, Chicago Good Design, and Chicago Green Good Design awards. His Swirl pendant received a Special Mention by the German Design Council in 2017. Exhibited internationally in cities like Milan, Valencia, Dublin, Madrid, and Tokyo, Power’s work is celebrated for its distinctive use of geometry. He has a remarkable ability to transform flat materials into striking three-dimensional forms, producing lighting designs that are both functional and visually captivating. His style reflects a deep understanding of form and structure, with each piece embodying a blend of artistry and technical precision.
