Since 2014, Schwung has caused a sensation not only in its home country but also among international designers with its timeless and unusual designs. The two young designers and founders of Schwung, Dominique Sente from Belgium and Rudi Nijssen from the Netherlands, say that they create "forms influenced by our passion, which seek and find a balance between technical and aesthetic solutions".
Schwung lamps are handmade in Europe, the lights are made of solid brass. The glass spheres are made of very high-quality hand-blown borosilicate glass, thin and light like soap bubbles, but resistant and strong like laboratory glass. This extraordinary glass, also called Jena glass in this country, ensures both a stylish presence in a classically modern ambience and pleasant room lighting. Most of the swing lighting is compatible with dimmers and comes with extension rods so that it can be adapted to different room heights.
