The manufacturer "a-emotional light" was founded in Galicia in 1994 as "a by arturo alvarez." In the past 25 years, founder Arturo Álvarez transformed the Spanish brand into a global leader in decorative lighting. Marcos Rioseco and Miguel Martínez now own the company, and continue to produce lamps with a focus on evolution and customer satisfaction, while remaining true to the original values of the brand.

The Clara table lamp from a-emotional light, designed by Arturo Alvarez, features handmade sinuous forms of stainless steel mesh. This lamp pays homage to Clara Campoamor, a lawyer, writer, politician, and champion of Spanish women's rights in the late 19th and 20th centuries, who played a pivotal role in securing women's suffrage in Spain in 1931.
