Remedios Simón
Remedios Simón, a Fine Arts graduate from Valencia, found her artistic calling in sculpture—a passion she’d harbored since childhood. Her background in the arts shaped her sensitivity to volume, space, textures, and materials, leading to creations that are distinctly sculptural, with bold, solid forms. This foundation in sculpture influences her approach, giving her work a depth and presence that blur the line between art and design. Her talent has been recognized through numerous awards, grants, and competitive selections, affirming her contributions to the field. In addition to her artistic practice, Remedios shares her expertise as a teacher at the School of Arts and College of Design in Alcoy, Spain. Her creative journey led to the design of the Spiro pendant for LZF, a piece that captures her love for form and texture in a functional yet artistic light fixture. Through each project, Remedios continues to merge her sculptural sensibilities with practical design, crafting pieces that are both visually striking and deeply rooted in the principles of fine art.
