Founded in 2017, 101 Copenhagen is a Danish design brand that embodies excellence in quality and craftsmanship. The brand offers a collection of furniture, lighting, and accessories that feature timeless designs with a modern twist. 101 CPH has a deep appreciation for materials, textures, and organic shapes and colors, and presents a range of classic and contemporary pieces that are sure to impress both Scandinavian and international interior design enthusiasts.
Tommy Hyldahl - owner and main designer: With his extensive background in fashion and experience in forecasting and analyzing future trends, Tommy brings a keen eye for detail to materials, historical references, and original design concepts. Similarly to the fashion industry, the design process at 101 Copenhagen starts with an idea that evolves and grows into a comprehensive and rich narrative for each collection. Tommy Hyldahl is also the founder of the design brand NORR11.
Nicolaj Nøddesbo - designer: with his background from the Aarhus School of Architecture, Nicolaj is pushing the boundaries of lighting design and creating timeless novelties for the 101 Copenhagen collection. Since joining the brand in 2017, he has been committed to imbuing functional pieces with personality and character. He places a strong emphasis on materiality, tactility, and a sense of space in his minimalistic and sculptural designs.
Kristian Sofus Hansen - main designer: with a background from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and exposure to Japanese culture through his time spent living and studying there, the designer infuses aesthetics and simplicity into the Danish design tradition. He has a talent for incorporating signature details into the 101 CPH collection, showcasing his mastery in translating and transforming these elements into his designs. Primarily focused on sculptural objects, Hansen is driven by an endless stream of inspiration and aims to create memorable and functional pieces that are truly unique.
